#sterileprocessingweek campaign

the brief

After collaborating on last year’s Central Service Week campaign, I was invited to create new artwork for this year’s edition. For #SterileProcessingWeek, I designed a 4x4” magnet - distributed to healthcare professionals - and adapted the artwork for social media.

The piece honors Sterile Processing Department (SPD) professionals who work behind the scenes to safeguard patient safety and support positive outcomes.

The 2025 theme, “Your Service is Central to the O.R.’s success,” plays on the department name while highlighting their essential role in keeping surgical care running smoothly. The design needed to feel celebratory yet professional, while allowing space for a branded footer and required bleed.

The goal was to create a meaningful visual that recognizes the people who are truly central to the O.R.’s success.

I developed three initial concepts, each incorporating the theme “Your Service is Central to the O.R.’s success.” while exploring different visual compositions and typographic hierarchies.

After reviewing the concepts, the client was particularly drawn to version #1. Its strong composition and clear message made it the natural direction to refine into the final design.

Because O&M Halyard’s brand guidelines feature very bright, high-contrast colors, I chose a complementary color palette that would feel cohesive within their visual identity while still creating a warm and approachable atmosphere. The goal was to balance impact with clarity - ensuring the message of appreciation remained central and easy to read at magnet size.

The final design translates appreciation into a bold, tangible gesture, something healthcare professionals can keep as a reminder that their work truly matters. Projects like this are a great example of how thoughtful design can amplify recognition and strengthen connection within an organization!
